Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Salina, KS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to perform maintenance and repair at the site. The role includes routine procedures and hands-on work across trades to keep equipment running efficiently.

This position requires experience in industrial maintenance, ability to work on a second shift from 12:00 pm to 8:30 pm, and the physical capacity to handle lifting and climbing as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance.
• Knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
• Minimum 2 years of experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
• Ability to climb and work from ladders, man lifts, scissor lifts, cranes and roofs.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Must have passion and integrity with drive to excel.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, push, pull, kneel, lift, reach, bend and squat.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Perform industrial maintenance using tools across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, electronics, welding.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of plant equipment.
• Install and configure new equipment and replace defective parts.
• Adjust equipment for efficient and safe operation.
• Engage in physical tasks including lifting and climbing as required.
