Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Elkhart, IN is seeking a Maintenance Technician for first shift (8 AM–4 PM, Mon–Fri). You will support preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and equipment installations to keep production running efficiently.

This role requires an associate degree in industrial maintenance or engineering and at least 1 year of related experience. Candidates should have basic computer skills, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to work in a team.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in industrial maintenance, engineering, or equivalent.
• 1 year of industrial maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook or similar).
• Ability to recognize and solve practical problems.
• Teamwork in a diverse environment.
• Ability to meet production, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preventative maintenance and repairs on plant equipment and facilities.
• Assist in repair of worn parts and fabrication of fixtures.
• Seek efficiencies and improvements in maintenance processes.
• Assist with proper installation of equipment and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance tasks to minimize downtime.
• Support manufacturing duties including off-peak hours as needed.
• Respond to after-hours calls and emergencies.
• Participate in strategic maintenance improvements.
• Perform general maintenance tasks (buildings, grounds, etc.).
• Wear PPE and work in non-temp-controlled environments.
