Job summary

Primary Staffing Inc. in Matteson, IL is seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist to maintain IT systems across office and plant operations, with a focus on minimizing downtime and supporting ERP/MES environments.

You will install and configure desktops and servers, troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, support SAP and MES systems, manage Active Directory and cybersecurity controls, and coordinate with production teams for system maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years IT support experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
• Experience supporting Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and networking technologies
• Familiarity with industrial automation (PLC-connected devices), MES systems, or manufacturing tech
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual proficiency in Korean and English required

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain IT systems including desktops, servers, and network equipment
• Provide technical support to office staff and production floor personnel
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues impacting manufacturing systems
• Support and maintain ERP and MES systems such as SAP
• Monitor network performance and uptime of plant-floor connectivity
• Manage user access, permissions, and cybersecurity controls
• Maintain backups, disaster recovery plans, and system documentation
• Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime during system maintenance
• Support production devices like barcode scanners, PLC interfaces, and printers
• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives and compliance with industry standards
• Work with external vendors for system upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting
