Job summary

Openwork is seeking an Inside Sales Representative in the Pasadena, TX area to build and sustain relationships with industrial customers. The role focuses on quoting, order coordination, and supporting the outside sales team in petrochemical and industrial markets.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year of inside sales in an industrial setting and product knowledge of gaskets, seals, hoses, or related items. Office-based with occasional warehouse exposure and travel may occur.

Qualifications

• 1 year inside sales experience in an industrial environment (petrochemical/manufacturing)
• 1 year of product knowledge with gaskets, seals, hoses, or related industrial products
• Strong customer-service and relationship-building skills
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and product specifications
• Comfortable with measurements, fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentages
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, internet research, and CRM systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Communicate with customers by phone, email, and other channels to provide professional service.
• Identify current customer needs and uncover opportunities for additional business.
• Prepare accurate quotes with pricing, specifications, and configurations.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure order entry, management, and shipment coordination.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales activity in the CRM system.
• Assist outside sales with customer research, lead generation, and outbound calls.
• Loster as liaison between customers and internal teams to resolve questions and ensure timely service.
• Maintain strong follow-up throughout the sales and order process.
