Job summary

Dillon Supply Company in Wilmington, NC seeks an Inside Sales Representative to support sales and warehouse operations. You will assist customers by phone, help walk-in business, and participate in delivery and inventory tasks to grow revenue and ensure excellent service.

This entry-level role offers hands-on training in Dillon’s core business and opportunities to learn every aspect of the sales process while building strong customer relationships and contributing to team goals.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask.
• Lifts up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Some knowledge of construction tools.
• Base knowledge of sales or customer service processes.
• Ability to build relationships and learn quickly.
• Professionalism and humility.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Sales team by handling customer requests, orders, quotes, deliveries and technical needs.
• Help facilitate customer requests and develop relationships with customers.
• Support inventory checks, restocking, and order fulfillment for steel and industrial items.
• Expedite order fulfillment with delivery and pickup.
• Filling orders by picking, packing, and shipping as needed; communicate delivery dates and stock-outs.
• Analyze buying history to suggest related and new items; explain features.
• Troubleshoot, report, and track problems to maintain customer experience.
• Contribute to department goals and team effort; perform other duties as assigned.
