Job summary

SPX Technologies is hiring an Electrician II to join our Madison, AL facility. You will assemble electrical systems, install wiring and lighting, troubleshoot complex electrical equipment, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure.

The role requires an associate degree in electrical tech or equivalent, 5+ years of industrial electrical experience, arc flash and OSHA-10/30 certifications, and strong PLC/blueprint skills.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree requirement in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years installing, testing, and troubleshooting high/low voltage electrical systems in industrial/ construction settings.
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash and OSHA 10/30 certifications.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, motor controls, VFDs, and testing tools.
• Ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Experience with PLC systems is preferred.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and a good team player.
• OSHA safety standards and site safety practices familiar.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electrical systems on manufactured products and maintain plant electrical infrastructure.
• Install electrical equipment and conduits within assemblies.
• Install lighting fixtures and electrical control assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems on products.
• Perform planned, preventive, and unplanned electrical maintenance on machinery and facilities.
• Install new production equipment and support changes to improve safety and efficiency.
• Update maintenance software records under the Maintenance Manager guidance.
• Assist with developing new manufacturing cells and perform select production work as needed.
