Job summary

SPX Technologies seeks an Electrician to install and maintain electrical systems for its manufacturing platforms. You will handle high and low voltage installations, troubleshoot complex equipment, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to support safe, efficient production.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will interpret wiring diagrams, work with PLC systems, and participate in safety programs while helping develop new manufacturing cells.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a valid state/local electrician license.
  • 4+ years of experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting high voltage and low voltage electrical systems in industrial or construction settings.
  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash and OSHA 10/30 certifications.
  • Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and testing tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Familiarity with interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.
  • Preferred PLC troubleshooting/programming experience.
  • Safety-focused, reliable team player.

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical equipment and conduits within assembled products.
  • Install lighting fixtures and high/low voltage control assemblies.
  • Perform troubleshooting and function testing of electrical systems.
  • Conduct planned, predictive, and unplanned electrical maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure.
  • Support development of new manufacturing cells and related production work.
  • Maintain and update maintenance records in software systems.
