Job summary

SPX Technologies in Madison, AL seeks an Electrician II for the 2nd shift to assemble complex electrical systems in manufactured products and maintain the plant's electrical infrastructure. You will report to the Maintenance Manager and may take on special projects to support safety, sustainability, and efficiency.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or state/local electrician license, 5+ years of experience with high/low voltage systems, and OSHA/NFPA70E certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a valid state/local electrician license.
• 5+ years of experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting high/low voltage electrical systems in industrial/construction environments.
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash and OSHA 10/30 certifications.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, and electrical testing tools.
• Familiarity with interpreting electrical blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment within assembled product.
• Install electrical conduits within assembled product and run conduit/rigid.
• Install lighting fixtures within assembled product.
• Install high/low voltage electrical and control assemblies on products.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems on assembled products.
• Perform planned, preventive, and unplanned electrical maintenance on production machinery and facility infrastructure.
• Install new electrical production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Support changes in manufacturing processes to improve safety and efficiency.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with updating and maintaining maintenance software records.
• Assist operations in developing new manufacturing cells.
