SPX Technologies in Madison, AL, is seeking an Asa Maintenance and Automation Technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain automation systems across the manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will drive uptime, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting plant upgrades and capital projects.

Qualificações

• Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field required.
• Minimum 4 years automation or controls experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with PLC systems (Siemens/Allen-Bradley/Schneider/Beckhoff/Mitsubishi).
• Experience with robotics from KUKA/ABB/Fanuc/Yaskawa.
• Knowledge HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networks.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, P&IDs, manuals.

Responsabilidades

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair robotic and automated systems.
• Program, modify, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and networks.
• Diagnose electrical/instrumentation issues with test equipment.
• Lead startup and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain control panel documentation and schematics.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Assist root cause analysis for recurring failures.
• Ensure safety compliance (NFPA 70E, OSHA rules).
• Collaborate with teams to optimize performance.
• Support capital projects and equipment upgrades.
