Job summary

SPX Technologies in Madison, Alabama seeks an Electrician II to install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems on manufactured products and plant infrastructure. The role reports to Maintenance Manager and may tackle special projects for safety and efficiency.

Requirements include a 4+ year track record in industrial electrical work, an electrical license or degree, and NFPA 70E/OSHA 10/30 certifications. External SPX training available at Olathe and Montreal locations.

Qualifications

• Electrical engineering tech degree or electrician license.
• 4+ years installing, testing, troubleshooting high/low voltage systems.
• NFPA 70E Arc Flash and OSHA 10/30 certs.
• AC/DC circuits, PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, testing tools.
• Interpreting electrical blueprints/schematics.
• PLC troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Team player, self-motivated.
• Basic computer skills.
• OSHA compliance and safety gear.
• External SPX training at Olathe KS & Montreal QC.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical equipment within assembled product.
• Install electrical conduits and pipe bending.
• Install lighting fixtures within assembled product.
• Install high/low voltage electrical and control assemblies.
• Troubleshoot and test electrical systems on products.
• Perform preventive and unplanned electrical maintenance.
• Install new electrical equipment and facility infra.
• Support changes in manufacturing processes for safety/efficiency.
• Update and maintain maintenance software records.
• Assist operations in developing new manufacturing cells.
