Job summary

Torrey Holistics is seeking a hands-on technician to install, configure and troubleshoot automation in a on-site facility in Lombard, IL. The role covers PLCs, HMIs, servo systems, and conveyors, with a strong emphasis on safety and preventive maintenance.

The candidate will program in ladder logic, work with Profibus and industrial Ethernet, and support Laser Guided Vehicles and packaging lines. This is a full-time, 3rd shift opportunity with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience with PLCs and servo systems.
Experience with maintenance software preferred.
Packaging equipment maintenance experience preferred.
Good understanding of safety procedures (LOTO, confined spaces).

Responsibilities

Install, configure and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O and wiring.
Troubleshoot analog and digital controls with 480V 3-phase power.
Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
Modify PLC logic in ladder logic.
Troubleshoot and diagnose communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
Perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles, conveyors, and production equipment.
