Job summary
Torrey Holistics in Streamwood, IL, is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to install, configure and troubleshoot PLC-based automation and vision systems on packaging and production equipment. You will work with 480V three-phase power, servo drives, encoders, and load cells, performing preventive maintenance and software updates in ladder logic and HMI interfaces.
The role requires a High School diploma, PLC experience, and a focus on safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Experience with servo systems and motion control.
- Proficiency with electrical schematics and PLC wiring diagrams.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O modules and associated control wiring.
- Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors and drives.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces; modify ladder logic as needed.
- Troubleshoot communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet) and related equipment.
- Conduct preventive maintenance on laser-guided conveyors and production equipment.
