Job summary
Torrey Holistics is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to install, configure, and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and related industrial controls in a manufacturing environment. You will work on 3rd shift with overtime rules and be responsible for wiring, electrical schematics, and drive systems.
The role requires hands-on experience with PLCs, servo drives, encoders, load cells, and 3-phase power. Safety procedures and preventive maintenance are essential, along with good diagnostic skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience with PLCs and servo systems.
- Experience with maintenance on packaging equipment preferred.
- Thorough understanding of safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confined spaces, PPE).
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC I/O and wiring.
- Troubleshoot analog/digital controls with 480V, 3-phase power, motors, VFDs, servo drives.
- Maintain and troubleshoot encoders and load cells.
- Program and troubleshoot PLC and HMI interfaces.
- Modify PLC logic using ladder logic.
- Diagnose HMI graphics and communication protocols (Profibus, serial, industrial Ethernet).
- Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics; perform preventive maintenance on AGVs, conveyors, and production equipment.
