Job summary

Michels Power, Inc. seeks an Electrical Project Manager to lead heavy industrial E&I construction projects across North America. You will oversee startup, commissioning, budgeting, procurement, and subcontractor coordination while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, client communication, and a focus on delivering on-time, on-budget results. Travel is approximately 50% as projects span industrial facilities, pipelines, and power generation sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of project management experience.
• Experience managing industrial electrical and instrumentation (E&I) projects.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, process controls, and automation.
• Experience with medium-voltage and low-voltage power, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, PLC/SCADA.
• Experience in scheduling, budgeting, cash flow, procurement, subcontracting, risk, and contracts.
• Proven ability to lead customer-facing projects and manage multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related PM tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project execution from award through commissioning and closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, schedules, procurement, contracts, and change orders.
• Develop strategies aligning safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
• Serve as primary customer-facing representative during execution.
• Coordinate with customers, engineering, field ops, subs, and suppliers.
• Identify risks and implement effective mitigation and solutions.
• Ensure compliance with specifications, safety standards, and policies.
• Promote safety culture and operational excellence.
