Job summary

Amteck, a nationally recognized Top 50 Electrical Design-Build Contractor, is seeking Electrical Maintenance Technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. The role emphasizes safety, NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards to maintain uptime and reliability.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, visual inspections, testing of power distribution, motors and controls, and meticulous documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Proficiency with preventive maintenance strategies and testing equipment.
Knowledge of arc-flash safety protocols and NEC rules.
Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA 70E and related safety standards.
Ability to read construction documents and generate reports.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
Visual inspection of components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for reliability.
Test power distribution systems, controls, and motors for proper operation.
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to minimize downtime.
Apply LOTO, arc-flash safety, and safety program requirements.
Support EHS initiatives and document findings.
Maintain accurate inspection and test documentation and recommendations.
Communicate findings with customers, supervisors, and team members.
