Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. The role ensures compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards while supporting uptime and safe operations.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, visual inspections, testing of power distribution and motors, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

Ideally 5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.
Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
Knowledge of arc-flash studies and safety protocols.
Extensive knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E/70B safety rules.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
Lubricate and service electrical equipment to ensure performance.
Test power distribution, controls, and motors for proper operation.
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks for improvements.
Follow safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash safety.
Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations.
Identify issues to minimize downtime and costs.
Communicate findings to customers, supervisors, and team.
Enforce company safety programs and site-specific rules.
