Job summary

Amteck, a national electrical design-build contractor, is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, inspect, and repair electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards compliance while maintaining reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

This role supports uptime by servicing power distribution equipment, motors, and controls, with responsibilities spanning testing,

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies.
Proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments, and testing equipment.
Familiarity with arc‑flash safety and NFPA 70E/70B rules.
OSHA and NFPA 70E safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat signatures and faults.
Inspect electrical components, wiring, and connections for wear or damage.
Service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls for reliability.
Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
Support EHS initiatives and enforce safety programs.
Communicate findings with customers, supervisors, and teammates.
Adhere to lockout/tagout and other safety procedures.
