Job summary

Amteck is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards while supporting uptime and safety across power distribution, motors, and controls.

You will conduct infrared thermography, visual inspections, and testing, document results, and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial installations.
Ability to develop preventive maintenance strategies per industry standards.
Experience with NFPA 70B, NETA, OSHA and electrical safety practices.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency with infrared thermography and electrical testing equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication; willingness to travel up to 100%.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults and heat signatures.
Inspect wiring, components, and insulation for wear or damage.
Service power distribution equipment, motors, and controls.
Test electrical systems to verify proper function and safety.
Document inspections, tests, actions, and recommendations.
Enforce safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
Collaborate with customers, supervisors, and team members on equipment condition.
Support EHS initiatives and uphold company safety programs.
Travel as required to client facilities and job sites.
