Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, insulation and repair of electrical systems in industrial settings. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards while maintaining reliability and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial electrical maintenance.
• Strong understanding of electrical theory, power distribution, and industrial electrical installations.
• Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies aligned with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
• IR thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
• Visual inspections of components, wiring and connections for wear or damage.
• Inspect and service electrical equipment for longevity and performance.
• Test power distribution systems, controls, and motors for proper operation.
• Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks for improvement opportunities.
• Apply safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
• Support EHS initiatives and embed safe work practices.
• Document inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate issues to reduce downtime and costs.
• Communicate findings with customers, supervisors and team.
• Enforce site safety requirements; participate in safety training and field ops.
