Job summary

Amteck is hiring an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial/manufacturing environments. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards to maintain uptime and safety of facility electrical infrastructure.

The role requires strong electrical theory, power distribution knowledge, and experience with diagnostic instruments.

Qualifications

5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of NFPA 70B, NEC, OSHA NFPA 70E.
Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
Proficiency with electrical testing tools.
Willingness to travel up to 100%.
Safety-focused mindset with zero tolerance for unsafe practices.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify abnormal heat and faults.
Inspect electrical components and wiring for wear, contamination, or damage.
Clean, lubricate, and service electrical equipment for performance and longevity.
Test power distribution systems, controls, and motors for proper function.
Assess equipment condition and maintenance risks to reduce downtime.
Follow safety procedures including LOTO and arc-flash awareness.
Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
Document inspections, test results, corrective actions, and recommendations.
Identify and mitigate issues to minimize costs.
Communicate with customers, supervisors, and team members about work performed.
Enforce company and site safety requirements.
