Job summary

Barnhart Crane & Rigging is seeking a sales professional to identify customer needs and craft rigging and lifting solutions for heavy industrial, energy, chemical, food, and commercial markets. You will develop strategies to penetrate key accounts, qualify leads, and coordinate with dispatch and project teams.

The role emphasizes relationship-building, discovery meetings, and delivering tailored proposals to win profitable work with a strong customer-service focus.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or sufficient experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in industrial sales or related fields.
• Proven track record of prospecting and closing profitable work.
• Excellent oral and written communication with all levels from field to executives.
• Mechanically inclined with rigging, lifting, fabrication, maintenance, or transportation experience.
• Experience with CRM tools.
• Experience with 3D Lift Planner preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies and tactics to penetrate and develop key accounts.
• Create and execute an annual sales plan with defined goals and objectives.
• Prospect and qualify warm leads.
• Conduct discovery meetings with existing and new customers to uncover needs.
• Determine crane and rigging solutions.
• Develop winning estimates and tailored proposals.
• Win work by selling value and overcoming objections.
• Coordinate project with Barnhart Dispatch and Project Management.
