Job summary

HITT Contracting in Falls Church, VA is seeking a Commercial Construction Assistant Superintendent for GovDirect projects. You will support the project manager in formulating the schedule, coordinate installation sequences, and ensure daily logs and punch lists are accurate for owner/architect acceptance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations and working in occupied spaces.
• Proficiency with project software (Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam) and OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support project manager in formulating the project schedule and ensure proper installation methods and sequencing.
• Maintain daily documentation of work orders and site conditions; manage punch list and closeout with owner/architect.
• Maintain HITT quality standards and foster good relationships with subcontractors; ensure safety compliance.
