HITT Contracting seeks an Assistant Superintendent for Mission Critical projects in Falls Church, VA. You will support project scheduling, coordinate field activities with subcontractors, and maintain daily logs while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes snapshot responsibilities: manage punch lists, assist in closeout, and collaborate with project managers to meet budget and schedule. Strong communication and organization are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in commercial construction, including tenant renovations and work in occupied spaces, is a plus.
• Project lead experience and proficiency with project scheduling and field coordination are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist in formulating the project schedule with the project manager and ensure proper methods and sequence are followed.
• Maintain quality standards and daily documentation of work orders and site conditions.
• Develop and organize the site team and coordinate temporary facilities/utilities.
• Identify long-lead items and expedite to prevent delays; manage subcontractor relationships.
• Support safety programs and ensure compliance with HITT safety policies.
