Job summary

Graybar seeks a seasoned Automation Sales Leader to drive the automation and control business within the assigned territory. You will build and lead a team across Technical Specialists and Quotation Specialists, collaborating with customers, suppliers and Graybar personnel to secure orders and deliver solutions.

You will develop district automation plans, drive specifications, and oversee new customer development while mentoring the team for pre- and post-sales support.

Qualifications

• 11+ years experience in automation and control sales.
• Management experience preferred.
• 4 year degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Business or related field.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop business plans to support automation and control market within territory; collaborate to implement district automation plan.
• Oversee business development of new automation/control customers.
• Develop automation team for pre and post-sales support.
• Drive automation/control specifications within territory.
• Evaluate automation/control market trends and risks in district.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key automation/control customers and suppliers.
• Foster relationships with local management and sales staff.
• Create tools and training programs to support automation opportunities.
• Participate in and meet IAD program status and requirements.
