Job summary
Graybar seeks a senior automation and control sales leader to guide a high-tech team including Technical Specialists and Quotation Specialists. The role focuses on identifying automation opportunities, securing orders, and collaborating with customers and suppliers across the district.
You will travel within the territory to develop plans, build relationships, and drive term contracts while promoting Graybar’s automation solutions and post-sales support.
Qualifications
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ability to network and make connections.
- 11+ years experience in automation and control sales; management experience preferred
- 4 year degree preferred in Electrical Engineering, Business or related field
- Ability to travel
Responsibilities
- Develop district automation plans and tactical plans with automation personnel.
- Oversee business development of new automation/control customers.
- Develop automation team for pre and post-sales support.
- Drive automation/control specifications within assigned territory.
- Evaluate automation/control business trends for opportunities and risks in the district.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key automation/control customers and suppliers.
- Coordinate with local management and sales staff to execute plans.
