Job summary

OPmobility in Adrian, MI is seeking a Site Industrial and Machinery Design Engineer to engineer automated manufacturing and control systems. You will lead PLC/HMI integration, robot cell implementation, and plant networking in a global mobility-focused environment.

The role requires a Mechatronics/Related engineering degree and hands-on PLC/HMI experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley systems, plus robotics and vision tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 25+ years? (typo) Correction: 24 months of engineering/design experience integrating and troubleshooting automated plant systems.
• Experience with PLC-based machinery systems using Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal, and HMI tools (WinCC Unified/Flexible).

Responsibilities

• Engineer and develop automated manufacturing and industrial control processes.
• Support new business development for fuel systems and SCR HDPE urea tanks.
• Design, procure, and install manufacturing equipment per APQP protocols.
• Integrate and troubleshoot automated plant systems including PLCs and HMIs.
• Implement robotic cells (ABB, Universal, Fanuc) and motion control systems.
• Work with plant networks (Ethernet, PROFIBUS/PROFINET, DeviceNet).
