Job summary

OPmobility in the United States is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead robotics and PLC projects in a dynamic automotive environment. The role requires 5+ years in robotics and automation, with fluency in English and experience with Siemens PLC and FANUC robots.

On-site work locations include Greer, SC or Troy, MI, with a planned transfer to Toledo, OH in January 2027. You will define project deliverables, manage provisional budgets, transfer technical data to development and production

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Automation and Robotics.
Advanced experience in robotics and automation.
Previous experience in an international context preferred.

Responsibilities

Define and lead the activities needed to achieve the deliverables.
Determine the project provisional budget (hours and cost).
Elaborate and transfer the technical data to the development, industrial and/or plant teams, with a clear identification of the remaining risks to ensure successful transfer.
Handle some activities of the extended team depending on the project size.
Consolidate lessons learnt from the projects into metier best practices and standards.
Animate in metier networks and promote industrial excellence roadmaps.
