Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 10+ years of industrial automation engineering experience with leadership experience.
• Expert knowledge across PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion, vision, networks and control architectures.
• Experience delivering complex automation or systems-integration projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary controls and robotics team.
• Set priorities, allocate resources, and ensure projects meet safety, schedule, budget, and customer commitments.

Accentuate Staffing has partnered with an established industrial automation and engineered-systems organization to recruit an Automation & Integration Engineering Manager. This leader will guide a controls and robotics team, strengthen engineering standards, and help deliver complex customer solutions safely, reliably, on schedule, and within budget.The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership with deep technical credibility across PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms, robotics, motion, machine vision, and industrial networks. This is a working-manager role for someone who can coach engineers, shape system architecture, resolve escalated technical issues, and connect automation projects to customer and business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary controls and robotics engineering team, including hiring, performance feedback, mentoring, and succession development.
• Set technical priorities, assign resources, manage team capacity, and provide escalation support so projects meet safety, quality, schedule, budget, and customer commitments.
• Guide automation architecture across controls, robotics, motion, vision, industrial networking, and machine-to-enterprise integration.
• Establish reusable software, electrical-design, documentation, testing, commissioning, and engineering-quality standards.
• Partner with customers, Sales, Project Management, and Operations to develop solutions, evaluate technical risk, support proposals, and resolve delivery challenges.
• Advance continuous improvement through engineering metrics, standardization, simulation, virtual commissioning, and practical adoption of emerging tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• At least 10 years of industrial automation engineering experience, including 4 or more years of formal people leadership or management.
• Expert-level knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, motion control, machine vision, industrial networking, and electrical control architectures.
• Demonstrated success developing engineers, allocating resources, resolving conflict, and balancing strategic leadership with hands-on technical escalation.
• Experience delivering custom automation, robotics, machine-building, or systems-integration projects for internal or external customers.
• Strong communication, engineering judgment, safety discipline, and business awareness; FDA-regulated automation, MES/ERP integration, Ignition, digital twins, or virtual commissioning experience is preferred.
