Job summary
Global Connect Technologies seeks an experienced Automation Engineer to design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC-based systems for manufacturing equipment in Michigan.
The role requires hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix (Studio 5000), Siemens TIA Portal, and HMI platforms like FactoryTalk View; robotics integration and commissioning are key.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Controls/Mechatronics and 5+ years in industrial automation are required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering.
- Strong PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix (Studio 5000).
- Experience with HMI development using FactoryTalk View ME/SE or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with industrial robotics integration.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot PLC-based automation systems for manufacturing equipment.
- Program, modify, and debug PLCs using Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000/RSLogix 5000) and/or Siemens TIA Portal.
- Develop and maintain HMI applications using FactoryTalk View or similar platforms.
- Support commissioning, startup, validation, and troubleshooting of automated production equipment.
