Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter in Myrtle Beach, SC. The role involves extensive carpentry work across residential and commercial projects, assisting with scope development and working autonomously on site.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, performing flood-cutting, shrink wrap projects, and ensuring safety and quality standards while meeting tight timelines and occasional travel. This position requires attention to detail and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience in residential, commercial and multi-family settings.
• Ability to assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and run projects autonomously.
• Experience with framing, cabinetry, trim, insulation and related carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and request guidance as needed.
• Answer questions and direct complex queries to appropriate resources.
• Move and protect contents without damage and maintain a clean work area.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Perform tasks related to flood-cutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards/cabinets/doors.
• Attend and complete shrink wrap training and perform 4 projects with shrink wrap.
• Identify insulation types and their R-values.
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing and ceilings.
• Perform vehicle safety and maintenance inspections and keep equipment in good condition.
• Meet BELFOR standards in safeguarding properties and maintain customer service focus.
• Work nights and weekends as required and travel periodically.
