Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an experienced carpenter in Myrtle Beach, SC, to provide operational support in reconstruction efforts. You will work with limited supervision, assist BELFOR Estimators with scope development, and progress along a defined carpenter track toward more complex residential, commercial, and multi-family projects.

You will handle daily tasks including framing, trim, cabinetry, insulation, and site protection, while complying with safety standards and service timelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience and ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to assist with scope development with BELFOR Estimators and run projects autonomously.
• Progressive Carpenter track level 3 with expansion to commercial/multi-family projects and proficiency in trims, cabinetry, and framing.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and timely request guidance.
• Answer questions and direct more complex questions to the right resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage and create containment for dust and debris.
• Perform tasks using BELFOR methods for floodcutting, salvage and labeling of baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend and complete shrink wrap training and four shrink wrap projects.
• Identify insulation types, thickness and R-values.
• Apply skills across Trim, Doors, Cabinetry, Insulation, Rough Framing, ceilings, roofing, siding.
