Job summary

BELFOR Holdings Inc. is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction projects, lead basic carpentry work and develop capabilities beyond residential into commercial and multi-family projects. This role involves working with BELFOR estimators and running projects autonomously.

The position requires nights and weekends as needed, travel periodically, and a commitment to safety and customer service while expanding the scope of work from residential to larger scale projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience in residential, commercial or multi-family projects.
• Ability to supervise unskilled labor and coordinate with BELFOR personnel.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and request guidance as needed.
• Answer questions and direct more complex questions to the appropriate resource.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for construction dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling of baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend shrink wrap training and complete 4 projects containing shrink wrap.
• Identify insulation types, thickness and R-values.
• Apply skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, ceilings, roofing and siding.
• Report time worked and materials used timely and accurately.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
