Job summary

BELFOR Environmental in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction projects. You will work with limited supervision, develop scope with estimators, and advance from residential to commercial work within a progressive carpenter track.

Responsibilities include protecting contents, performing floodcutting, insulation work, trimming, cabinetry, and operating safely on site; travel and occasional night/weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Supervise unskilled labor and occasional subcontractors in residential settings.
• Perform emergency services as needed (e.g., board ups, securing building).
• Maintain equipment used in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems with the project and timely request guidance.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for construction dust, dirt and contaminants.
• Using appropriate tools and BELFOR methods, perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend and complete shrink wrap training and complete 4 projects containing shrink wrap.
• Develop ability to identify insulation types, thickness and R-values.
• Apply learned skills to trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, etc.
• Report time worked and materials used timely and accurately.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
