Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking a Skills Instructor to work directly with adults with developmental disabilities, helping them build essential life and work skills for greater independence.

You will lead person-centered activities, accompany participants on community outings, and document progress in concise case notes. Training will be provided, with a supportive team and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Willingness to undergo a state and federal fingerprint background check.
• CPR Certification and a recent TB test may be obtained with employer assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Support individuals in accessing community resources and planning engaging activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands, or leisure.
• Track and document progress with accurate case notes.
• Redirect challenging behaviors and facilitate positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
