Job summary

DABS, Inc. provides skills training and supported living services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering independence since 2005. We’re hiring a Skills Instructor to work directly with adults, helping them gain essential employment and community participation skills.

You’ll lead community activities, document progress, and collaborate with a team to ensure comprehensive support while advocating dignity and respect for all participants.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• CPR certification and TB test may be obtained if needed.
• Willingness to undergo state and federal fingerprint background check.
• Valid driver’s license, vehicle and insurance required.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered instruction through planned community activities.
• Take individuals on community outings for appointments, errands, or recreation.
• Track and document progress with concise case notes.
• Redirect inappropriate behaviors and support positive resolutions.
• Collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
