UnitedHealth Group is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for home health in Bluefield, WV, serving Mercer, McDowell, Summers, and Monroe counties. The OTA will provide therapy under supervision, following state laws and the plan of care to restore patients’ physical abilities.

Role includes visiting patients, documenting progress, and coordinating with the care team. Licensure, driver’s license, and CPR are required or expected within 90 days where applicable.

Qualificações

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver’s license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for following all state specific laws governing the provision of occupational therapy in home care, to follow the treatment set only as defined by the supervising OT
• Follow the plan of care, instructs and aids patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing occupational therapy assistants
• Observes, records, and reports to the nurse supervisor and the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes to the patient's condition
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other members of the health care team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the occupational therapy assistant
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
