Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide occupational therapy services to patients in home care settings. You will work under the supervision of an OT to restore patients'' physical abilities and follow the plan of care within state laws.

The role requires OTA licensure in the practicing state, a valid driver''s license, and strong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the health care team.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver''s license and vehicle insurance or access to dependable transportation.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of an OT.
• Follow the plan of care and state laws governing OTAs.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patients, families, and care teams on therapy activities within scope of OTA.
• Provide care in diverse home settings regardless of patient demographics.
