Job summary

PCH Home Health - Bluefield, part of LHC Group and within the Optum family, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver therapy at patients' homes in Mercer, McDowell, Summers, and Monroe counties.

Responsibilities include following the plan of care, documenting progress, and educating patients and caregivers. Requires WV OTA licensure and a valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and access to a dependable vehicle or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to home health patients under the supervision of an OT.
• Follow the plan of care and state laws governing OT assistants.
• Observe, document, and report patient progress to the nurse supervisor and physician.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy activities within scope.
• Demonstrate ability to work with diverse populations in home settings.
