UnitedHealth Group, through its PCH Home Health - Bluefield unit, seeks an Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide in-home therapy and restore patients’ physical abilities. Coverage includes Mercer, McDowell, Summers and Monroe Counties.

You will work under an OT plan of care, instruct families, and document patient progress while adhering to state regulations. A competitive benefits package accompanies full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Preferred: CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• Demonstrate ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Demonstrate ability to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.

Responsabilités

• Follow all state laws governing provision of occupational therapy in home care and the plan of care from the supervising OT.
• Instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the OTA and state laws.
• Observe, record, and report patient response to treatment to nurse supervisor and physician.
• Instruct patient, family, caregiver, and health team in therapy areas within OTA scope.
• Function effectively in home settings regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition.
