Job summary

UnitedHealth Group seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant to deliver in-home therapy, restoring patients to their fullest physical ability. You will follow a supervising OT's plan, instruct patients, and document progress to support coordinated care with nurses and physicians.

Ideal candidates hold OTA licensure, a valid driver's license, and NBOT certification. A CPR credential is preferred, with a focus on independence, communication, and multitasking in varied home settings.

Qualifications

• Current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in state of practice
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance or access to reliable transportation
• Must be certified and in good standing with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with good communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients in home care following supervising OT's plan
• Instruct and assist patients in evidence-based treatment per state laws
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment to the nurse supervisor and physician
• Educate patient, family and care team on therapy within scope of OTA duties
• Adapt to diverse home environments and patient needs
