Job summary

Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Early Childhood and Special Education teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our community of teachers, learners, and leaders. This is a long-term substitute position from 9/25/2026 to 11/09/2026, with per diem pay for substitutes.

The role focuses on inclusive instruction for students with special needs and English learners, aligning with district goals and state frameworks, and collaborating with staff to support student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities (PK-8) AND Early Childhood AND either SEI Endorsement OR ESL License (PK-6).
• Must meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

• Teach Early Childhood General Curriculum in an inclusive setting with students who have Special Needs and English Language Learners.
• Write and implement goals and objectives aligned with IEPs and provide progress reports.
• Provide accommodations and modify instruction; develop curriculum as needed and prepare for assessments.
• Collaborate with school staff to respond to student needs and support learning progress.
