Boston Public Schools seeks an exceptional Elementary Education teacher with an SEI endorsement for Grade 2 as a long-term substitute at Lee K-8 in Boston, MA. The teacher will implement the general curriculum in an inclusive setting with students who have special needs and English Learners.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 and Moderate Disabilities PK-8 and SEI Endorsement OR ESL license for the appropriate grade level.
Meet all state and federal guidelines to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
Ability to meet the Standards of Effective Teaching as outlined by Boston Public Schools.
Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Teach Elementary General Curriculum in an inclusive setting with students with Special Needs and English Language Learners (SEI).
Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with student IEPs and provide timely progress reports.
Provide accommodations and develop curriculum, and collect and analyze student work for progress.
Collaborate with staff to support modification and student needs.
Identify access points for student portfolio development and align with district goals.
