Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an Associate to join our corporate practice. This role can be based out of any US office. The ideal candidate has 6+ years advising domestic and international companies on expansion, relocation, and incentives, with strong writing and analytical abilities.

The successful candidate will work in a high-volume, fast-paced team, collaborating across the firm to deliver strategic guidance, manage matters from inception to resolution, and mentor junior colleagues.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state where office is located.
• Minimum 6 years of experience at a leading law firm.
• Strong writing, analytical, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case/transaction preparation and strategy.
• Draft briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence with high accuracy.
• Manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution, including trials and closings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships with timely updates and professional conduct.
• Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to develop innovative strategies for clients.
• Attend and participate in high-level legal activities as needed.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and firm guidelines.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentoring of junior associates.
