DLA Piper seeks an Associate to join our corporate practice. This position can be based out of any US office.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience advising domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate in the US; advising companies across a wide range of industries with the development of new corporate headquarters, manufacturing and distribution facilities, data centers, and large office projects; and identifying and negotiating discretionary

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 6 years of experience advising domestic and international companies expanding or relocating in the US.
• Admitted to practice in the state where office is located.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research: Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case/transaction preparation and strategy.
• Legal Writing: Draft well-written, error-free legal documents, including briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence.
• Case/Transaction Assistance and Management: Assist/manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution including trials, negotiations and closings.
• Internal/External Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships with timely updates and professional communication.
• Collaboration: Work with other lawyers and professionals to develop innovative strategies for favorable outcomes.
• Attend and participate in high-level legal activities including hearings, depositions, negotiations, trials.
