Job summary

DLA Piper seeks an Associate to join our corporate practice. This position can be based out of any US office.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of experience advising domestic and international companies expanding or relocating in the US, with experience across varied industries and large projects. The role requires strong analytical, writing and verbal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to mentor junior associates.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state in which they are officing.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in a AmLaw 100 firm or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Legal Research: Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research to support case/transaction preparation.
• Legal Writing: Draft well-written, error-free legal documents including briefs, motions and contracts.
• Case/Transaction Management: Assist/manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution.
• Client Interaction: Build and maintain strong client relationships with professionalism.
• Collaboration: Work with other lawyers and professionals to develop strategies.
• Attend and participate in high-level legal activities as needed.
• Maintain compliance with legal standards and regulations.
• Engage in ongoing training and development to enhance skills.
