Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking an Associate to join our corporate practice. This position can be based out of any US office.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of experience advising domestic and international companies expanding or relocating in the US, covering HQs, manufacturing, data centers and large office projects. We value process-driven, team-oriented professionals who can mentor juniors, with strong writing, analytical, and verbal skills, and a capacity to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications

• JD and admission to practice in the state where office is located
• Minimum 6 years of experience at an AmLaw 100 firm
• Experience advising domestic and international companies expanding or relocating in the US
• Strong writing, analytical and verbal communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior associates and work collaboratively across teams

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research to support case/transaction strategy
• Draft briefs, motions, contracts, and correspondence
• Manage complex cases/transactions from inception to resolution
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships
• Collaborate with lawyers and business professionals on strategy
• Attend, support and participate in high-level legal activities
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and regulations
• Engage in ongoing training and development
• Participate in firm citizenship and pro bono initiatives
