Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be a key contact for customers, entering orders and providing timely, courteous support. You will interact with customers regularly, handling inquiries and driving inbound sales while assisting with product selection and application.

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, with benefits and opportunities for career growth in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle a variety of customer situations with enthusiasm and tact.
• Some retail or counter sales experience preferred.
• High School education 2 year or 4 year degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure every customer experience is top notch in quality.
• Handle incoming and outgoing customer calls and written correspondence in a professional, timely manner, ensuring follow up on all customer issues.
• Take an active role in selling Graybar goods and services on inbound calls.
• Provide support on product selection and application.
• Coordinate customer service requests including order entry, pricing, expediting, billing, order maintenance, credit and claims.
