Job summary

Washington State Employees Credit Union seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer - Internal to join our Residential Lending team in Washington state. You will work with branch staff to originate mortgages, ensuring compliant disclosures and timely closings, while delivering exceptional member experiences.

This full-time role requires at least 3 years of origination experience, FHA/VA familiarity, and a bachelor’s degree preferred, with competitive pay and benefits including incentives.

Qualifications

• At least three years of mortgage loan origination experience including FHA/VA familiarity.
• Degree in business or related field preferred; experience may substitute for academics.

Responsibilities

• Originating mortgage loans by promoting and delivering WSECU's mortgage products to members and prospective members within assigned branches.
• Building strong relationships with branch staff and partners to support member needs and drive internal referrals.
• Pricing, structuring, and disclosing loans accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Meeting or exceeding individual production and service goals.
• Delivering an exceptional member experience by proactive communication and timely, high-quality loan closings.
• Managing a pipeline of loans and maintaining complete, accurate loan packages.
• Maintaining NMLS licensing and staying current on products, systems, and market trends.
• Participating in trainings and Community Homeownership initiatives.
• Supporting branch operations and educating staff; covering queues and maintaining branch presence.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance processes and member experience.
