Job summary

Washington State Employees Credit Union seeks a Mortgage Loan Officer - Internal to join our Residential Lending team. You will originate loans, build relationships with branches, and deliver compliant, timely solutions to members across Spokane/Yakima markets.

You will manage pipelines, stay current on industry trends, and participate in trainings and Homeownership initiatives while helping deliver an exceptional member experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage loan origination experience, including FHA/VA familiarity.
• College degree in business or closely related field preferred (experience may substitute).

Responsibilities

• Originating mortgage loans by promoting and delivering WSECU's mortgage and home equity products to members and prospective members within assigned branches.
• Building strong relationships with branch staff and partners to support member needs and drive internal referrals.
• Pricing, structuring, and disclosing loans accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Meeting or exceeding individual production and service goals.
• Delivering an exceptional member experience by proactive communication and timely, high-quality loan closings.
• Managing a pipeline of loans and submitting complete loan packages with follow-through.
• Maintaining NMLS licensing and staying current on products, systems, and mortgage trends.
• Participating in meetings, trainings, and Community Homeownership initiatives.
• Supporting branch operations by huddles, staff education, and branch presence.
• Identifying opportunities to enhance processes, tools, and member experience.
