Placements24 is seeking a Technical Retail Support Specialist for a leading consumer electronics retailer in Upington, Northern Cape. You will assist customers with product functionality, troubleshoot devices, and help with setup, ensuring a smooth, positive shopping experience.

The role requires strong technical knowledge across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, excellent communication, and a service mindset. Relevant IT certifications are a plus; weekend shifts may be required.

Formación

• Proven experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or a similar customer-facing role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/macOS/iOS/Android and common software.
• Hands-on troubleshooting for consumer electronics, hardware, software, and networks.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities; explain tech clearly.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a retail tech environment.
• Able to work independently and in a team; weekend shifts possible.

Responsabilidades

• Provide frontline technical support and troubleshooting for consumer electronics and related software.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues for in-store customers.
• Assist customers with product setup, configuration, and initial use.
• Educate customers on product features, benefits, and best practices.
• Escalate complex issues to higher-level support or manufacturers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, issues, and resolutions.
• Stay up-to-date with technology trends, product releases, and advancements.
• Support in-store demonstrations and assist sales staff with tech queries.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with clear, concise, timely technical assistance in Upington.
